Hey there -

I just wanted to wish everyone a good Memorial day. My best goes to our amazing heros (Steve & Scott) who are so ready to put it all on the line, and no less to Sheralan & Stafani who sacrifice more than I'll ever have to experience and their great children. This goes out to you too mom, I know how much you're proud of theboys for all they do, and Tom, you've been on foriegn soil serving your country as well. I can't listen to certain Country Songs, and a few rock songs anymore, I just get too emotional thinking of all you. You have my support and endless prayers!

How David's doing

I'm proud to say that David has had to work his butt off with little to show for it! I was so worried he'd go out there and start having sales right away. His day picked up yesterday with 2 sales. But before that he was feeling a bit discouraged. Things are picking up for him and I think he'll have a good summer. He said, "You know how they say everything is bigger in Texas? Well the hornets are big and red!" He's gotten some red ant bites, and the mosquitoes are enjoying the humidity from night rains and hot days and he has no air conditioning in his car. Such wonderful opportunities for growth! He won't be in his host home until the 24th. Nothing like hotel living.
P.S. _ anyone who is reading this blog has administrative privileges. That means you can add video, pictures, change the background, add a song - whatever you want. I would love to come in and find everything changed!!

Dinner with Bill

Friday night the kids and I were able to meet with Bill at Old Chicago's for dinner. It was wonderful to see him again. We ate great pizza and then played a game of pool....boys against girls. The girls won (thanks Cody.....he scratched). We were able to catch up on our lives and just have a great visit. After dinner we went to Bills hotel (Cody said it looks like a hotel you would see in the movies.....scary movies) and Cody and I recieved blessings. They were just what we needed! Oh yeah, check out the first pic, Ashley is just a little taller than Bill...hard to believe isn't it?

The Lipizzaner Stallions

OK...I am finally doing this. For Mothers Day Dad and Janet took us to the Lipizzaner Stallion Show and it was amazing!!! They were also hoping it would help with Devan's birthday (being that it is tomorrow). All I can say is that these horses are brillant! I've wanted to see then since I was a kid and I got too today. Sorry about the last pic. I forgot to rotate it before I uploaded it to the blog. I will e-mail you guys more, pics. I can't fit them all on here. Kristie, Sheralan, Stefani, and Mom....HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Brushin Teeth

When Eve and Aurora and I went for a walk Fri. a guy on a bike, riding towards us, smiled and said "Hi" with a big, toothless except for a few big yellow ones, grin and I waved and said "Hi". After he passed Eve said, "Well, that's a motivator for brushing your teeth!!" LOL!! Thought you might get a kick out of that.

Meet Sandy / Adress Correction

This is Sandy, the puppy (yes, she's just a puppy) that has adopted the soldiers at Steve's FOB. Isn't she neat looking? She has stolen the hearts of all the men there and she is probably the most spoiled dog in all of Afghanistan. She receives constant treats in care packages (I always add something for her) and they have trained her to do the basic commands, like sit, stay, lay down, and shake. Steve absolutely adores her.

Also, I recently received an email from our FRG saying that mail isn't getting to the soldiers consistently and we needed to change the address to make it easier for it to be sorted and sent on. Here is the address correction they gave me:

Hopefully this will make their mail more reliable. I know they've had some problems.

BBQ Fun!

Okay... I am not sure if I am doing this right, but I'll give it a go! I wanted to share this picture of all of us that were lucky enough to hang out Saturday! We were able to enjoy food, fun, and visiting with our 'local' family and David, Eve, and Aurora!! We were so excited to get to spend time with everyone. I hope everyone has a great week! ~Stefani :)
